Punky's Mom I agree completely and am thoroughly enjoying this time. The baby antics are subsiding and he is starting to say he's ready. Its all very exciting!

We got the blessing of a 60 degree day on Jan, AND it was on a weekend, so 2 friends and I went riding at Shaker Village, one of our favorite places to go. There is a place you can ride through a tunnel under the highway to get to the 600 acres on the other side. The tunnel, is old, dark, about 200 ft long, and has water rushing through it. Sometimes in the summer, it is almost dry. In the spring it can get fairly deep, but we tend to not push it if it's higher than knee deep since it moves so quickly. Anyway, you can imagine that it's pretty scary for some horses. Never fear, Susie (Private Harmony) confidently leads everyone through it.

Here is a pic. I sent it to the ASHA but it hasn't cycled up yet. Also, there is a Facebook Group called "As Seen Through Horses' Ears" I belong to. (Anyone who trail rides or enjoys nice views should check it out, there are pictures from all over the world!)In my own little way, we are chiseling away at the ASB "stereotype" by posting on these sites.
