Slim Jim is calling you and saying PLEASE take me home. Though it is nice here I understand it is way nicer at your place.

Jim has been getting quite a bit of work lately and is doing very well. He always gives it his all and tries hard to please. Now that he knows he is supposed to stay to the rail he sticks to it like there is a magnetic force field holding him there! He is not a fancy horse but a more honest one you will never meet. He has learned to rate his speed according to his riders direction. Jim would love to be someone's best friend, he could also be useful in a lesson program.

I rode Slim Jim today for the first time, and he is sure a lot of fun! He's got a snappy little trot that's real easy to post to, and he listens well to the rider's direction. His canter start was a little sticky and he canters quick, but he isn't quite strong enough to slow down and balance himself out yet. He's getting there though! I really enjoyed riding him, he would be great as a lesson horse! He's definitely ready for a home.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for him. This is such a good honest horse, he really never has a bad day and so deserves a good forever home.

He doesn't look so slim anymore. More like a Lean Cuisine.

I've got another favorite! I've been riding Jimmy pretty regularly lately, and he is such a sweet awesome boy! He is always the same consistent horse, he's got plenty of go but he always backs off when you ask, and he is just so honest, he always gives his best. He's got the makings of a great lesson horse, and he so deserves his own home, he's going to make someone very happy!

He's staring at me here and saying "Hey! What are you doing pointing that thing at me?"

He looks really smart. He reminds me of a Civil War Movie Horse, for some reason. Very cute and well, smart, crisp or something about him. I love his ears too.

Jim needs a bump!! He is still looking and is such a sweet hard working horse. He has worked very hard all of his life and still has a lot to give but he really deserves the pampering he has most likely never had. He is ready and waiting for his new job as a lesson or pleasure horse.

I had my second lesson on Slim Jim today. He has alot of get up and go, and to control his speed you have to give and not fight him. If you fight him, he goes faster. He is a great lesson horse for an advanced program to work on hands and controlling a horse with some speed. I really learned alot from Jimmy today. He is a very friendly guy, and he has a cute face.

Oh Jimmy you little speed demon! You're scaring everybody off with your get-up-and-go!

No seriously, this would be the second horse I would take home if I could, right behind Hertz of course. I just love his attitude about life and work, he is so good.

As you can see Jimmy will do ANYTHING you ask and Pat is trying to kill me! That is more off roading then trail riding as there is no trail up there. I did learn that you have to duck more than you think when passing under tree branches and jumping uphill in a cutback saddle is probably not a great idea,at least not without a breast collar. Jimmy was an angel. I had to go for a bit with the saddle basically on his butt before we came to a spot that was clear enough to dismount. He did not buck, hump or kick just kept going until I said whoa. He stood quietly for remounting even though I ended up having to mount from the ground and he is not used to that but didn't mind at all. Anyone looking for a zippy off roader here's your boy.
