We tested this mare today. Jessie was our CDT of the day. I think someone got pics but I am not sure, if not we will take some soon. She is broke to saddle and WTCs. It seems as though she has been spoiled a little and allowed to do as she pleases. She tried to act scary to get her way but once she figured out that Jessie was not going to be intimidated she settled down and behaved herself. I think this is a pretty nice horse and actually pretty good thinking. It seems as if she was a little shorted on her basics, she needs some elementary bitting work and some good girl etiquette. For now she needs a skilled rider with training experience. In time I think she will be an easy ride.

How tall is this mare? Tell me she is short so I don't even have to think about her! Do you think with some consistant work she could be a trail horse or will she be too nervous for that?

Markings for this gal? I am thinking right hind sock, right front pastern. Any facial markings and how about white on the left legs?

Age?

I already looked for her and couldn't find her. Was told she didn't have papers.

She does have a star and a partial pastern on the outside of the left hind.

Seeing Spots, she is a good size mare about 16 hands and big bodied. Her ground manors have improved already and today I did some bitting work with her and can report that she is a willing learner. I think this will be a very nice horse before too long. She does not have a nervous temperament just uneducated, no reason she could not do well as a trail horse.

Great, now I could be in trouble. I have to do some figuring here and see if Ic an actually come up with the cash to do something here. I sure wish we were closer together! I don't mind putting some miles on a horse as long as I won't get hurt doing it.
Is she sweet and pretty easy going for being in a new place?

Make that a sock, not a pastern. From the front and left side it looks pretty clearly defined, but from the right (like in her pic) it is hardly visible.

WOW - This girl looks nearly exactly like my gelding. The decription of the personaliy sounds the same also. I hope somebody adopts her quickly. They will be getting a super horse!

Madonna is benefiting from her back to basics training program. She is learning to give to the bit and do as she is told.Jessie rode her yesterday and she was quite a good girl.

As you can see Madonna is learning her lessons well. She is much easier to handle and is giving to the bridle now. She isn't perfect and still needs work but is much improved!

Isn't she just a pretty princess? IMO she would look fabulous in a western frame with lots and lots of bling!

Is this mare in IL now? I thought I saw that one of the other topics. I might have to go take a look at her if she is!
