Yesterday was hectic and Jessie did not get to test ride the newbies, but today we had more time so we put our CDT to work. Jessie named the two horses Lilo and Stitch from the kids movie, so please do not think this horse has or needed stitches.

This gelding was aged by the vet as being 20 years old, he is 15.3 and is in very good shape. I would bet money the consignor will contact Pat as this horse had new shoes, a shiny coat and was fat, this tells me he was well liked by his owners. Stitch scored very high on his test ride and does do all three gaits. His canter cue needs some polishing but he did canter on both leads and his gaits are smooth as silk. I think Stitch maybe a great beginner horse but only time will tell and a few more miles. It is my hope that someone steps up and puts their name on this horse. I get a good vibe on this horse and he gets our highest scores for everything.

I am sure Anne will post more about this horse as she works him more this week.

This is a really nice horse. We will know more about suitability for a job as we get to know him better but it is plain to see he is a good one. I don't think it shows too well in the pics but he is the most beautiful deep auburn chestnut.

I think he is very cute, and very well taken care of. I've already sent Pat some possible matches, I really hate those borderline markings on the back legs....are they socks or ankles? I'm searching both, just in case.....

At least in the third picture (and slightly in the first), something about his look reminds me of Michaelangelo.

I am very excited to meet this horse!

Oh he looks just wonderful. It is a good thing I do not need a horse. NOt that that has ever stopped me, but I am full anyway.

Such a handsome face. He looks familiar to me, something about that face. Monday's Sale was A Stitch in Time for this guy.

Well, Stitch is a very lucky boy indeed and is just as cute as can be. He doesn't look as though he has missed many meals but we will give him all the treats he wants anyway.

I rode this boy today and must say this is a wonderful horse. Any lurkers out there don't delay on this one, I can't imagine he won't go fast. He is very well behaved under saddle and a smooth comfy ride. WTC no issues. He would be a great candidate for a lesson program or a great pleasure or practice horse. He is a good looking fellow, pretty enough for the show ring too!

Such a good boy :) Oh, magic, a suggestion: maybe you should put some details about SBR and/or contact information in the little info box next to the youtube video? That way if someone stumbles across it, they'll know how to get a hold of you for more information.

We have had several different riders on this horse of various skill levels and he is consistently good. He has not put a foot down wrong since he arrived. This one is the real deal.

Used this horse for intermediate lessons this weekend and I can report he was wonderful. He is very careful to do exactly as he is told but is tolerant of rider error. Does not get upset about faulty cues, just waits for the correct one and than does as he is asked.
