He is so young to be here, but I am glad he is with SBR now. He is really talented with his legs and I think he could set his head pretty easy. He is in wonderful hands now!

CCS- from what I see, no white on legs and just a large star? Any thoughts or changes on my guess? :)

This gelding is a find! He has a great work ethic and really likes people. He was much better today for mounting, takes treats so that helps! He needs some work on his left lead but canters on cue. This is a talented good thinking horse that has the quality to show.

How are his legs/feet, Anne? He looks sharp and sound from his SNAPPY photo, but Nealia's description of his poor knees just makes me picture pain and feel so sad for him!

That is my question as well; since he is relatively young, was he given up by the Amish due to soundness issues? Otherwise, he seems like such a good boy. Will there be a video soon?

Nealia, Mark and Jessie are leaving tomorrow for the USEF Convention where Jessie gets her JR Equestrian of the Year Award. If I can get out I will video but no promises. My mom's back is bothering her and I am limited as to what I can do or I would be going to Cincinnati.

I like Tristan too. For us "Oldsters". Tristan was the wild, younger brother of Siegfried Farnan, the partner of James Herriott. Herriott is the Scottish veterinarian who wrote the "All Creatures Great and Small" series, which was made into a TV series on BBC.

Wow another very beautiful one. I can not believe people would ever discard them. Well I can not believe anyone would discard any animal. I have been going on other animal forums to spread the word. Maybe this one should be name King something. I misspelled king for kind for how about kind king?

I want to let a few of my closest friends in on a secret. I think this horse is a great horse. I think with a little work he could do very well be a contender at any show in country pleasure. If he does not get placed I am going to have Jessie show him. You know what else? Not only is he VERY cute he thinks the best, while he may not be the brightest bulb in the box, Tristan always tries to please and NEVER gets angry or frustrated. In my training book that is a HUGE HUGE plus with any of my horses.
As far as a great minded horse you will look a long time to find a better one. Yes he needs a little work as he is a little crooked but that is easily corrected.
I repete I LOVE THIS HORSE!!!!!
If we find papers for him he will be put in our new lease program (not yet announced, so do not bother Pat yet)

Gosh, Nealia...with a recommendation like that from a highly experienced and knowledgeable Saddlebred trainer in a variety of disciplines, how can this horse NOT be placed?
My bet is that this one will have found a forever home within the week!!!!
How do you think he would be as an ASB western horse, and also do a little hacking and light dressage/riding to music?

I don't know, I think he would be a kick butt show or country horse! The way he sets up screams look at me!
If we can id him, someone will have a great show horse (they will have a great horse either way!). :)
