This is the only gelding from today's batch. He is about 18 yrs old and as you will see when Pat posts the pictures he is very thin and in very poor condition. He scored well on his evaluation, did everything we asked without a fuss. This looks like a very sweet horse that has been badly neglected. He WTC and looks like a good lesson horse prospect.

Oh, Cosmo! Your guardian angel certainly swooped down in the 11th hour to save you. And not a moment too soon. One wants to weep at the hard times that befall some of these horses. I guess you all who have been with SBR for a while have seen many...this is the first time I have seen a horse in a western country in such appalling condition. It wrenches your guts out.
Magic, can one make a direct donation whereby the money goes directly to benefit this horse?

Thank you, thank you, thank you SBR for saving this guy and for Bruce or whoever it was that put him in safekeeping. 
Cosmos Kramer has the nicest face and pair of ears. This is about as bad as Banner and Sir Old Guy looked. And I am sure the pics are adding a few pounds.

Awwwww!!!
Boy someone will love showing off their rags to riches treasure with this doll. Can you imagine how we're all going to squeel with excitement when his new owner posts an update?!! So glad he has a chance to shine.

Wow, what a handsome fellow! He looks like he knows he is safe now. He is a skinny as my rescue Simon was, maybe a little more. He'll be back to normal in no time.

Oh my, he reminds me a little of Bodie (who we almost named Cosmo). What a nice save. Cosmo's eyes just look so full of thanks, and I am sure his tummy does also.

Oh that poor skinny boy! As thin as he is, and as tired as he must be, it is amazing to me that he still had his ears up for his test ride.

He'll be a rewarding rehab project! I love this type- it's a challenge and so much fun to watch the healing process/progress

With a few weeks of SBR meals under his belt, I bet Cosmo is starting to brighten up a bit. I like him a lot...there is something about him that makes you smile. Even with all his ribs sticking out, I can see what he could be.

Cosmo has gained some weight and is strong enough to go to work. I rode him today and although he needs some work is is over all a good boy. I think he will come along pretty fast. He thinks well, anyone wanting a project should scoop him up fast.
