It really impresses me that he just keeps on trucking, totally unfazed by all the activity in the arena. I like the way he really covers ground, not in an out of control way, just 'places to go' business-like way, it seems to me. Jeanie (edited to remove my brainstorming about wondering if he would like 3 day eventing...he has way too lofty and nice a saddle seat way of going, would be wasted in that when he'd be so much more awesome in saddle seat endeavors)

WOW! Thanks for the video -- he really can cover some ground! Very sweet, and he looks like fun. With a little work and weight, he'd be very cute in the show ring! I'm forwarding the link to his video

Nick is getting to be such a nice horse. Today Theresa rode him and he amazed everyone by standing perfectly still at the mounting block while she mounted with no header. This horse just gets better and better with each ride.

I rode Nick today for the first time. Despite history, he was very easy to catch. He just learned what a carrot is and he loves them, and is very expressive when he sees or senses a carrot coming his way. He was really fun to ride as he is very tall, covers alot of ground with his gait but is not too fast, and is lofty. He is so good looking and was so good and affectionate after I rode him, that I kinda fell for the big guy. He is a really good horse that will blossom with his own person. He will be fun to ride and watch as he has come so far in such a short time.

With that big motor, driving off from the hocks and big, extravagant gaits, could he also be a possibly interesting prospect for dressage?

Today Jessie and I clipped Nick. He looks very handsome and was a very good boy for his beauty treatment. After his workout I took him out to graze on the line as a little treat. When he first came he had obviously never been treated to a hand grazing session and had no idea what to do, just stood there looking at me. Now he acts like any self respecting horse who has been to Saddlebred school and relishes his grazing time. So cool to see the transformation.

This boy could defiantly be a show horse. It would be great if we can find out who he is.
